Bank Notes

Day 2 - Thursday 7 of May

Photography by Gene Eaton

Woo! Alright. Day two. After the blistering success of the first day, we had high hopes for the second. They were met. 6s and 7s produced their first recorded material to be released to the public, When the Sky Fell continued Adem K’s local dominance of 90s-era indie pop, Seven Weapons, a.k.a. Lara Malin, decorated the floor with apples and flowers and did eight blinding tracks that can be heard nowhere else apart from MySpace, and Chris Cobilis and Chris Hudson improv’d their little hearts out for 10 minutes. Combined with yesterday, today proved that the best strength of the Bank Notes project, apart from tremendous talent, is diversity. Where else will you hear a nylon guitar next to an abused theremin? Nowhere else, that’s where.
